 DayTrader Tutorial
Overview
With DayTrader you can monitor any stock's technical behavior while the market is open. Our system performs thousands of calculations in real time to provide you with accurate trading signals.
Signals
DayTrader will keep you abreast of any intra-day technical changes in your favorite stocks. By clicking on the set target icon the signal panel on the left of your screen will populate with the current DayTrader signal. The indicator is displayed in the form of a traffic light with a Strong Buy, Buy, Sell or Strong Sell.
Strong Buy
How do the signals work?
DayTrader's signals are based on constant stock price and volume changes. These signals ignore all company fundamentals and are NOT to be confused with our StockGrader signals. DayTrader's signals are produced in real time during market hours, valid for a s little as minutes and are designed for speculators, not investors. You may use the signals as follows:
Strong Buy / Strong Sell:
Used by extreme intra-day traders to establish long and short positions only when technicals are at the most favorable trading conditions. Normally this type of strategy closes all outstanding positions just prior to day's end.
Buy / Sell:
Used by swing traders willing to carry a long or a short position for several days. Our proprietary system performs hundreds of calculations in real time to spot ideal entry and exit points by analyzing price moving average behavior and volume abnormalities.
For optimal results when using the DayTrader, use stocks with high betas (above 1.2) and high average volume.
