Overview

The MarketGrader Index was started a few years ago as a model portfolio for MarketGrader.com subscribers. Its purpose has been to demonstrate the long term benefits of a stock portfolio built around fundamentally sound companies and a disciplined investment approach that includes industry and market cap diversification and a periodic rebalancing system. Today the index is followed by portfolio managers and financial institutions around the world looking for reliable results and a transparent methodology.

This introductory page to the MarketGrader Index section of our website highlights performance statistics of the index, covering 1998 through 2005. It includes a “what if” scenario of a $10,000 investment in the index in 1997 compared to the same amount invested in any of the main U.S. market indexes; the results speak for themselves. On this page you will also find up-to-date index results for the current month, quarter and year.
